Four plans, one currency — credits. BYOK works on every plan; bring your own LLM keys to bypass credit billing.
Guilde charges by the month. Every plan includes a monthly grant of credits — the unit of AI work — plus headroom for guilds, operators, and workspace storage. Free starts you at 200 credits; paid plans add 2,200 → 21,000.

What's a credit
A credit is the unit of AI work consumed by your operators. Different operations cost different amounts (millicents — see Usage for the live ledger):
- A short Haiku reply ≈ 1 credit
- A long Sonnet conversation turn ≈ 8–25 credits
- An Opus reasoning task ≈ 50+ credits
- Image generation ≈ ~500 millicents
- Video generation ≈ ~50,000 millicents
- TTS ≈ 0.3 mC per character

millicent activity feed.
What happens when you run out
Operators pause. They don't fail — they wait for the next monthly grant or for you to top up. Existing artifacts, conversations, and work items stay intact. As soon as credits return, paused operators resume from where they were.
You can:
- Top up — Add credits on the Usage page
- Upgrade — Switch to ... on the plan card you want
- Switch to BYOK — connect your own LLM keys and bypass credit billing entirely. See Usage → BYOK.
BYOK (bring your own key)
Every plan includes BYOK. Two-step:
- Add a provider key under Usage → BYOK (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, Mistral, Groq).
- Your operators' LLM calls route through your key — billed to your provider account, not Guilde credits.
At high volume, BYOK is dramatically cheaper than buying Guilde credits.
Payment method & invoices
The Billing page exposes a single Open Stripe portal button — manage your card, billing address, tax details, and invoices through Stripe's secure portal. Receipts for past credit top-ups list inline on the same page once they flow back from Stripe.
Switching plans
Switch to … on any plan card. Upgrades are immediate and prorated. Downgrades apply at your next renewal so you keep what you paid for.
When you downgrade past a hard limit (e.g. fewer seats than current team members), no operators are deleted — the excess become read-only until you reduce headcount or upgrade back.
